Zurich Canada is seeking an Executive Assistant to support members of the Senior Management team and help drive our strategic priorities. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing Zurich Canada’s strategic objectives by providing high-level administrative support and contributing to the success of your designated area.

What you will do

 

As an Executive Assistant, you play a pivotal role in supporting Senior Management and ensuring smooth business operations. Your responsibilities help drive our success and create a welcoming environment for colleagues and stakeholders. In this dynamic role, you will:•    Deliver confidential and high-quality administrative support to members of Senior Management.


•    Organize and prioritize daily tasks, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
•    Welcome and direct internal and external stakeholders.
•    Answer and screen phone calls, manage simple email responses, and support clear communication for leadership.
•    Compose routine and non-routine correspondence based on notes or instructions.
•    Process incoming mail, ensuring it reaches the right people promptly.
•    Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and business activities.
•    Manage office supplies and organize travel logistics using Zurich’s internal procurement tools.
•    Prepare expense reports and handle payments for business expenses.
•    Uphold compliance with legal and regulatory standards in daily operations.
•    Access, process, and analyze data to support business decision-making.
•    Identify and propose improvements to enhance business processes.
•    Provide general clerical support and assist staff in processing transactions to meet service standards.
•    Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees.
•    Deliver reception and office support, creating an inviting workplace for visitors and team members.

 

Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table

 

Required:

 

•    Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Administrative area

 

OR 

 

•    High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in the Administrative area

 

AND

 

•    Have experience in planning, organizing and scheduling work 

 

Preferred:

 

•    Strong project management skills 
•    Advanced Microsoft Office skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

 

At Zurich Canada, we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills, experience, and internal equity. The salary range for this position is 65,000 - 85,000. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individul qualifications. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range, but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidate’s skills and experience.
